Piston Peak Powers Up the Wildest Race Yet

Get ready for the ride of a lifetime as Cars from across the country gear up for an off-road rally like no other—right in the heart of the "wheelderness." Fans can expect high-octane thrills and scenic storytelling as the newest rally course zooms into Magic Kingdom.

Expanding the Magic: A Journey Through Time

Since opening day, Magic Kingdom has woven a rich tapestry of American storytelling, guiding guests from the colonial charm of Liberty Square to the untamed terrain of Frontierland. Now, that journey is set to continue westward with the introduction of Piston Peak National Park—a brand-new land inspired by the American Frontier and the spirit of adventure.

A New Chapter: Welcome to Piston Peak National Park

Piston Peak is a fictional yet breathtaking park inspired by the Rockies and the majestic beauty of America’s national parks. Towering pines, snow-capped peaks, and rushing waterfalls set the stage for this Cars-themed wilderness, where guests will explore visitor lodges, Ranger HQ, and rugged trails—all seamlessly blending into the natural landscape thanks to “Parkitecture,” a design style developed by the National Park Service.

Seamless Scenery, High-Speed Fun

Bordered by serene waterways and rugged mountain ranges, Piston Peak will serve as a scenic new backdrop in Frontierland. Trees and terrain will provide a natural transition between the rally course and nearby areas like Liberty Square and Grizzly Hall. Expect geysers from Big Thunder Mountain to rise into the new land, connecting old favorites with fresh adventures.

More Magic on the Horizon

As construction accelerates this summer, the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and Liberty Square Riverboat will close starting July 7. Meanwhile, Imagineers are also crafting the park’s first-ever Disney Villains land—complete with thrilling attractions, dining, and shopping experiences.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will return next year with new surprises, Disney Starlight will dazzle starting July 20, and The Beak and Barrel will open its doors to pirate fans of all ages.

Stay tuned—this magical expansion is just getting started.
