Animal Kingdom’s Encanto Ride Gets Its Official Name and a Whole Lot of Animals
Casita is getting ready to throw a party, and Animal Kingdom visitors are officially on the guest list. Disney has shared a lively new batch of details for the Encanto attraction heading to the park’s upcoming Tropical Americas land—including its name, its returning voices and one particularly important planning perk: everyone can ride.
Revealed during the “Horizons: A Carousel of Progress” presentation at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by Visa, the attraction is being shaped with help from Jared Bush, Chief Creative Officer of Disney Animation Studios and the writer and director of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto.
Meet Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto
The attraction’s official name is Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto. The adventure takes place on Antonio Madrigal’s gift day, when he receives the ability to communicate with animals. Guests will join the family’s celebration inside Casita, where the story carries a fitting message: every living thing belongs in the familia, gifts or no gifts.
Best of all for families building an Animal Kingdom day: Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto will have no height requirement.

Casita Is Taking the Wheel
This isn’t simply a stroll through the Madrigal home. Once inside, guests will board ride vehicles inspired by the pieces of furniture that Casita brings to life. The vehicles will carry riders through rooms created especially for the attraction, expanding the house beyond what appears in the film.
Like Casita itself, those furniture-inspired vehicles will react to the scenes around them. The journey eventually heads upstairs to Antonio’s room, transformed into a lush rainforest packed with animal life. More than 50 animals will appear throughout the attraction, including a capybara getting a hair trim, plus a toucan and a donkey. That is one busy bedroom.
Familiar Voices, Carefully Researched Creatures
Several voices from Disney Animation’s Encanto are returning to Casita: Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel, Jessica Darrow as Luisa and Diane Guerrero as Isabella.
Disney Imagineering also partnered with Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team to ensure the attraction’s animals are accurate to Colombia. The project team previously traveled to Colombia to study how the region’s colors, materials and structures connect with its climate, terrain and culture—a research effort that helps ground this fantastical house in a real place.
For a closer look at that earlier research journey, Disney Imagineer Joan Hartwig shared details from the team’s visit to Colombia.
A Carousel With an Animal Kingdom Twist
Tropical Americas will also welcome El Carrusel de los Animalitos, an animal-themed carousel for guests of all ages. The classic-style ride will feature 22 hand-carved animal figures inspired by beloved Disney and Pixar stories, giving the familiar carousel spin a distinctly Animal Kingdom flavor.

The Rest of Tropical Americas Is Taking Shape
First announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in 2024, Tropical Americas is the new Animal Kingdom land celebrating the myths and magic of the rainforest. Alongside Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto and El Carrusel de los Animalitos, the land will include Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, an all-new Indiana Jones adventure.
Food plans are still on the stove, but Tropical Americas will include a large hacienda that ranks among the biggest quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort. Shopping locations are also planned, along with a Maya-inspired play area where young explorers can dig for artifacts through hands-on play.
Between a house with a mind of its own, a rainforest bedroom full of Colombian animals and an Indiana Jones expedition waiting nearby, Tropical Americas is stacking up to be a very good reason to keep Animal Kingdom plans flexible.
