Yzma and More Villains Creep Into 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash

The villains are clocking in for another after-hours shift at Disney California Adventure Park. Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party returns on select nights from August 18 through October 31, 2026, and Yzma is bringing her potions, her plotting and, presumably, a strict no-lever-pulling policy.

This family-friendly Halloween party requires a separate ticket, and tickets remained available for select dates at the time of publication. Between Treat Trails, Halloween Time attraction overlays and character encounters, this year's lineup has plenty of deliciously devious detours.

A Treat Trail Lineup With Serious Villain Energy

Treat Trails may come with chocolate, signature sweets and sinister surprises, but the characters stationed along the way tend to steal the scene. Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas returns to Hollywood Land, while Ernesto de la Cruz from Pixar's Coco can be found near the Hyperion Theater.

Also returning: Syndrome from Disney and Pixar's The Incredibles and Maleficent from Disney Animation's Sleeping Beauty. New for 2026, Yzma from Disney Animation's The Emperor's New Groove arrives in Grizzly Peak, where her potion-making talents and latest scheme should be in full supply.

The Search for Sweets Gets Even Stranger

Several more characters will appear exclusively at Disney California Adventure during Oogie Boogie Bash. Keep an eye out for Agatha Harkness in Avengers Campus, plus Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb, Hades from Disney Animation's Hercules and Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit in Hollywood Land.

That is a particularly formidable collection of folks to encounter while holding a candy bag. Fortunately, the candy has no known opinion on world domination.

Halloween Costumes, Heroes and a Few Familiar Faces

Beyond the Treat Trails, additional characters may appear around California Adventure in fall attire. Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Clarabelle Cow will dress as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus, while Pain, Panic and Megara from Disney Animation's Hercules join the fun.

Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy from Disney's Kingdom Hearts may also appear, alongside select characters from Pixar's Toy Story, Edna Mode and Mr. Incredible from Pixar's The Incredibles, and Black Panther, Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch.

Madame Leota Is Throwing a Street Party

A new offering, “Madame Leota's Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party,” brings familiar Haunted Mansion moments onto the streets of California Adventure. Swirling ballroom dancers, ominous gravediggers and a trio of hitchhiking ghosts will materialize for a swinging wake full of silly spooks and ghoulish delight.

Partygoers can also explore immersive Treat Trails, Halloween Time ride overlays and photo opportunities throughout the park. Unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass digital photos taken during the party are included, subject to the Disney PhotoPass Terms and Conditions.

A Few Important Spooky Fine-Print Bits

The number of tickets for each event date is limited, and costumes must follow Disney's special event costume guidelines. Only select attractions, experiences, offerings and services are available during the party, and Lightning Lane access is not available.

The offer, event and event elements may be modified, have limited availability, or change or be canceled without notice or liability. In short: make those Halloween plans before the villainous calendar gets any ideas.
