Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar Returns With Spooky New Bites
Disney Springs has a new case of Halloween fever, and it appears to have taken over an airplane hangar.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is back in seasonal form through November 9, filling its adventure-packed hideaway with vintage-inspired Halloween décor, spooky snacks and a fresh round of sinister sips. It is less haunted house and more wonderfully odd 1940s Halloween party—with a few aviation artifacts watching from the rafters.

A Hangar Full of Halloween Mischief
Themed décor from Jock’s collection gives the bar a cozy, nostalgic glow rather than full-on fright. Pumpkin scarecrows greet visitors at the entrance, including one piloting an airplane in a chilling nod to Jock himself. Inside, vintage lanterns, festive tinsel garland and retro Halloween touches turn the space into a charmingly strange retreat for a Disney Springs evening.
Above the room, a patch of Jack-O’-lanterns flickers through the night. Elsewhere, a card-stock band of vintage Beistle-style black cats keeps watch from a far corner, their mischievous eyes fixed on every chosen concoction. Halloween past clearly has excellent taste in hideouts.

New Nibbles With a Little Bite
The Halloween menu brings a new collection of eerie eats to the table, from deviled eggs with fried chicken to barbacoa dip with plantain chips.

Keep an Eye on the Rafters
The seasonal decorations have slipped neatly into Jock’s ever-growing collection of adventure memorabilia. Look high above and to the right of the bar for the weathered “Bigelow’s Air Circus” banner, a reference to Disney’s 1991 film The Rocketeer. Another nod to the film may appear on a “South Seas Club” coaster during a visit.
Jock’s pet boa constrictor, Reggie, is apparently out wandering again: the cage is empty. Nearby, retro blow molds dance with light, while 1940s-era tinsel zigzags in front of treasures that include a banner celebrating Jock’s National Air Races win.
The Pilot Behind the Peculiarities
Jock Lindsey is Indiana Jones’ barnstorming pilot, who arrived in what is now Disney Springs in 1938 while following a mythology-based tip in Central Florida. Drawn to the town’s natural springs, he bought waterfront property, settled down and built an airplane hangar as his home base.
That hangar became Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, packed with artifacts and references connecting Indiana Jones adventures with Disney’s Society of Explorers and Adventurers, or S.E.A. The details hint that Jock was either a member of the society or closely tied to it—and that his bar became a gathering place for adventurers chasing mysteries around the globe.
For a Halloween stop between Disney Springs shopping, live music and other seasonal menus, this quirky hangar remains a fine place to find a few tricks, a few treats and perhaps one missing snake.
