Unveiling the Spectacular New Disney Springs Drone Show
Get ready for an enchanting spectacle at Disney Springs! Starting May 24, the new “Disney Dreams that Soar presented by AT&T” drone show will illuminate the skies above Walt Disney World Resort's entertainment complex.
The Disney Live Entertainment team recently witnessed their hard work take flight during the initial creative rehearsals for the show. We're excited to share the first glimpses from an off-site location, along with thrilling new details about this larger-than-life nighttime extravaganza, set to be the perfect addition to an evening at Disney Springs.

Show Director Tony Giordano shared, “We are presenting Disney characters who have had a dream of flying. Not just the idea that they can fly, but the idea of taking their lives to the next level. We put a lot of thought into making sure that no matter how old you are, or how big of a fan you are, you're going to see a character that you love.”

The show will feature an impressive cast of characters, brought to life by a fleet of 800 drones working in harmony to craft a breathtaking display in the night sky. Guests can look forward to witnessing the likes of Baymax, nearly twice the size of Spaceship Earth, inflate, transform, and vanish before their eyes, leaving them in awe.
Tony emphasized, “We were given the assignment to create an experience where you want to just hold the hand of the person next to you. That's always echoing in my mind as we work on this show.”

Music will serve as a vital link to this emotional journey. “Disney Dreams that Soar” will showcase popular and beloved soundtracks, along with an original song designed to inspire guests to follow their hearts, take a leap of faith, and reach for the stars.
For the best view of the drones “dancing” to the new soundtrack, guests are advised to position themselves along the waterway in the Disney Springs West Side. This 10-minute show will provide the perfect conclusion to a day of shopping, entertainment, and dining at Disney Springs, with two performances scheduled every evening this summer. Keep an eye out for Tony while you're there!
“I can’t wait to stand next to the guests and hear their reactions. That's my favorite part of building any show because those reactions are why we do what we do. We want them to actually experience magic, and when you see all these drones, to me, you get to see real magic!” expressed Tony.
