A Grand Transformation: Inside the Elegant Redesign of Disney’s Grand Floridian Lobby
Step Into the Grand Floridian’s Fresh New Look
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has long embodied timeless elegance, and its latest lobby transformation brings a vibrant update while honoring its classic charm.
Guests have witnessed the space gradually evolve, and now the nearly completed redesign introduces a warm, welcoming atmosphere that blends Victorian grandeur with Disney’s signature storytelling.
Nostalgic Charm Meets Modern Comfort
Inspired by the Victorian era and the golden age of travel, the updated design pays homage to Florida’s heritage. New stained-glass skylights cast a soft glow on gleaming woodwork and delicately refreshed chandeliers, creating a lobby experience that feels both familiar and delightfully new.
Elegant seating, vintage-style mirrors, and the resort’s logo make each corner feel like a curated celebration of the past, designed with today’s guest in mind.
Introducing The Perch: A Toast to the New Lobby
Opening November 10, The Perch invites guests to sip and relax amidst the lobby’s grand surroundings. This all-new bar features a refined menu of wine, beer, champagne, and signature cocktails like the Sunshine State Rum Sazerac and Floridian 75. For a refreshing twist, the Blueberry and Basil Iced Tea offers a delicious non-alcoholic option.
Decorated with rich wood accents, herringbone tile, and whimsical stained glass, The Perch captures the resort’s Victorian elegance. Guests might even spot feathered friends hidden in murals and decor.
A Tribute in Every Detail
Above the sweeping staircase, an impressionist-style mural imagines the resort at the turn of the century, framed by Florida’s iconic palms. Below, a new carpet blooms with over 200 unique floral motifs inspired by the Victorian “Language of Flowers,” including orange blossoms, moonstones, and even a few Hidden Mickeys.
Each element adds another layer to the resort’s story, making every visit feel like a magical discovery.
The Garden View Lounge Returns in 2026
The refreshed lobby sets the stage for the return of The Garden View Lounge in early 2026. This beloved space will feature a reimagined tea experience, complete with whimsical Disney details that delight guests of all ages.
Convention Center Makeover Adds More Magic
The resort’s transformation extends to the Grand Floridian Convention Center, now featuring the same sophisticated style as the lobby and guest rooms. Whether attending a wedding or a business event, guests will find themselves surrounded by refined beauty and Disney’s unmistakable charm.
Continuing a Legacy of Hospitality
For generations, Disney’s Grand Floridian has defined luxurious hospitality. This elegant redesign continues that tradition with thoughtful updates across guest rooms, lobbies, and shared spaces.
As part of a broader refresh across Disney Resorts Collection hotels, these enhancements ensure guests always have something new to discover — no matter how many times they visit.
