Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to Welcome New Eras and Iconic Heroes This Spring

Step Into New Eras at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Beginning April 29, 2026, the timeline at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Resort will unlock like never before, welcoming characters from across the galaxy’s vast history. From the Age of the Republic to the Rise of the Resistance, this immersive land will now span multiple iconic eras from the Star Wars saga.

Legendary Characters Arrive on Batuu

Prepare to encounter some of the saga’s most beloved heroes and villains. Darth Vader lands with Imperial Stormtroopers in search of Luke Skywalker, while Leia Organa and Han Solo are reunited with Chewbacca amid the rocky spires of Black Spire Outpost.

Luke will roam Batuu in search of Force-related relics, while Leia may be found rallying allies near the Millennium Falcon. Meanwhile, Han Solo seems quite taken with the local cantina.

These classic icons will join returning favorites like Ahsoka Tano, The Mandalorian, Grogu, and the ever-charming R2-D2.

Explore Stories Across the Star Wars Timeline

With the timeline expanded, guests can experience the Galactic Civil War, the New Republic, and the Resistance era — all within the same visit. The environment of Batuu will evolve, featuring era-specific props, visual updates, and fresh storylines that invite deeper exploration.

John Williams' Iconic Scores Fill the Air

Guests will hear sweeping compositions from John Williams throughout the land, enhancing the atmosphere with memorable melodies from the original films. Expect to hear themes like “The Force Theme,” “Han Solo and the Princess,” and the unmistakable “Cantina Band” drifting from Oga’s Cantina.

Shops and Outposts Get a Timely Makeover

The shops of Black Spire Outpost are evolving too. First Order Cargo becomes Black Spire Surplus, now featuring relics from the Galactic Civil War. Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities will refresh its display of galactic curios, while an earlier generation of the Mubo family prototypes BB units at Droid Depot.

Lightsaber seekers may still join Savi’s Gatherers to craft their own legendary weapon — perhaps with a little guidance from Luke himself.

Classic Attractions, Galactic Eats, and Nightly Spectacles Remain

Guests can still hop aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, sip blue milk, and munch on ronto wraps. As night falls, “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” illuminates the spires with the legendary tale, while “Fire of the Rising Moons” dazzles select evenings with fireworks and familiar scores.

A Galaxy of Possibilities Awaits

Whether walking the path of the Jedi, navigating the dark side, or simply wandering through the Outer Rim, the newly expanded Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge offers something for every fan. Visitors may begin to spot these enhancements in the coming weeks, with the full launch on April 29, 2026.
