Experience the Magic of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

A serene beach scene featuring soft sand, turquoise waters, and rocky cliffs under a clear sky with scattered clouds. Footprints lead into the waves.

As we approach the opening of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, we're ready for an introduction to this stunning island, which is the newest destination of Disney Cruise Line. Join us for a tour to discover the natural wonders that make this paradise so special.

Exploring Lighthouse Point

Lighthouse Point is a beloved stretch of coastline and rock formations located on the southernmost point of Eleuthera, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the clear, turquoise waters of The Bahamas. Disney Cruise Line selected this cherished spot to immerse guests from around the world in the vibrant culture of The Bahamas.

Pretty in Pink

No need for a filter! Get ready to capture stunning photos on the pink sand beaches found throughout Eleuthera. The pink hue comes from crushed coral and shell fragments mixed with the island's soft, white sand. One of the prime locations to see these pink sand beaches is at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!

Pass the Pineapple!

Visitors to Disney Lookout Cay will encounter nods to an integral part of Eleuthera's history: the pineapple. Eleuthera is renowned for its longstanding tradition of pineapple farming, with its distinctive red soil setting it apart from other islands in The Bahamas. The island even hosts the famous Pineapple Festival annually, bringing together visitors and communities to celebrate the harvest season.

A HOLE Lot of Water

Now, let's head over to Rock Sound, Eleuthera, where guests will discover the Ocean Hole, a naturally occurring blue hole that Bahamians believe connects to the ocean through ancient caves dating back 300,000 years. Many residents of Rock Sound learned to swim in this beautiful hole, which has a higher salt content, making it more buoyant than seawater. Some locals also believe this serene space possesses remarkable natural healing properties! Ocean Hole and Lighthouse Point Beach both boast incredible limestone rock formations, further adding to the extraordinary landscape of this beautiful island.

Cave of Wildlife Wonders

Not far from Ocean Hole, visitors will find Cathedral Cave, a natural rock formation with expansive, vaulted ceilings, cascading tree roots, and shimmering filtered sunlight. This popular tourist attraction, enjoyed by visitors and Bahamians alike, is home to native Bahamian wildlife. Guests can learn about Bahamian wildlife at the beautiful nature trail of Disney Lookout Cay, featuring bronze sculptures of native animals. Additionally, Cathedral Cave is accessible during Disney Lookout Cay's port adventures, including the South Eleuthera Eco and Cultural Tour and the South Eleuthera Eco and Historical Tour.

The Glass Window Bridge

One of the most iconic landmarks in The Bahamas is located on Eleuthera: the Glass Window Bridge. This natural land bridge once separated the Atlantic Ocean from the tranquil waters of the Exuma Sound and the 700 islands of The Bahamas. Eleutheran artist Kevin Cooper captured the essence of this famous natural wonder in his artwork, which can be found displayed in the cabanas and available for purchase as a lithograph to take home as a memento from Disney Lookout Cay.

Eleuthera is a remarkable destination and the ideal location for Disney Cruise Line's newest retreat, celebrating the beauty and culture of The Bahamas.
