EPCOT and Animal Kingdom Favorites Are Getting New Chapters
Three Walt Disney World favorites are about to make some noise—one with a big idea, one with a little spark and one with a very large roar.
During the “Horizons: A Carousel of Progress” showcase at D23, Walt Disney Imagineering revealed upcoming updates for EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. Spaceship Earth is preparing for a reimagining, Dreamfinder is returning to the Imagination pavilion alongside Figment, and the Yeti inside Expedition Everest is set to come back to life.
Spaceship Earth Looks Toward Connection
For the first time in nearly two decades, EPCOT’s geodesic giant will receive updates. The refreshed Spaceship Earth journey will expand beyond the story of human communication to explore the broader idea of human connection.
Disney says the attraction will keep the optimism and sense of wonder that have defined it for generations, with new magic planned throughout the journey. The big silver ball is not done telling stories just yet.
Dreamfinder and Figment Reunite
At EPCOT’s Imagination pavilion, Figment will soon have familiar company. Dreamfinder—the whimsical dream-chaser who originally brought imagination to life in the pavilion’s original attraction—will return for a new adventure with his purple dragon friend.
It is a reunion built for fans who know that imagination is not meant to sit quietly in a corner. Sometimes, all it takes is one little spark.
The Yeti Is Ready to Roar Again
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, explorers taking on Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain will want to keep their eyes on the mountain’s shadowy resident.
The attraction’s iconic Yeti Audio-Animatronics figure will come back to life deep within the Himalayan expedition. Consider this a friendly reminder that legends are best taken seriously—especially when they have claws.
Three Classics, Fresh Energy
From a new chapter inside Spaceship Earth to a long-awaited Dreamfinder return and a reawakened Yeti, these announcements put some beloved Walt Disney World attractions squarely on the path ahead. EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park have a few fan-favorite stories preparing for their next act.
