Disney Cruise Line 101 Fact Sheet

For Guests who have never sailed – or who have never sailed Disney Cruise Line – we’ve gathered the most frequently asked questions and compiled them into this quick Disney Cruise Line 101 Fact Sheet.

There are five Disney Ships - Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy & Wish

At this time, the ships sail from Florida, Texas, Seattle (Alaska) and European ports for Mediterranean sailings. There are also short (weekend) cruises which sail on occasion from CA and NY.

  • Wish & Dream sail from Port Canaveral, Florida on 3, 4 and 5-night Bahamian cruises with ports of call such as Nassau, Key West & Castaway Cay
  • Fantasy sails from Port Canaveral, Florida on 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises with ports of call such as Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Falmouth, Tortola, and St. Thomas
  • Magic sails from a variety of ports including Miami, Port Canaveral, New York and European Ports
  • Wonder sails from a variety of ports including Seattle (Alaska), San Diego, Galveston, Miami and Port Canaveral

Ships sailing from Florida will include a stop at the breathtaking Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas. Select sailings from Galveston and NY also stop at Castaway Cay.

There are four general stateroom categories - Inside (no window), Outside (window only), Verandah (private balcony) and Concierge Level Staterooms (private verandah rooms, suites and other rooms with additional amenities reserved exclusively for Concierge Guests).

Staterooms include what Disney refers to as a “split bath”. Bath one includes a toilet and sink and bath two includes a shower or tub and sink. With the exception of a Standard Inside Stateroom, all staterooms include the split bath option. (Note: Deluxe Inside Staterooms include a split bath.)

Meals, entertainment, children's activity centers, character interactions, first run movies and much, much more are included with the cost of your cruise. (A complete list is provided with your Disney Cruise Line quote.)

Optional Shore Excursions, Spa Services, Alcohol and Gratuity are not included with the cost of your cruise.

Airfare and transfers from the airport are not included in the price, but can be added to your cruise.

Cruises cancellation policies are fairly steep. Up to the entire cost of your cruise can be forfeited depending on the date of cancellation. For this reason, we strongly recommend the Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan.
