Character Greetings and Autograph Books at Disneyland
Autograph Books & Pens
An autograph book is a great souvenir for kids. The Disney characters will sign autograph books during character meals as well as at meet and greets in the theme parks. You can purchase small books for $10 to $15 each at the theme parks and any Disney resort. Larger books that have photo slots are also available. If you choose to bring a non-Disney notebook for characters to autograph remember that you will be carrying the autograph book around with you everywhere you go (another reason to carry that backpack!). Make sure that the book is lightweight and small. Also, don’t forget to bring a pen - characters do not have pens with them.
Meet and Greet & PhotoPass
When you see a character at a meet and greet spot in a theme park, hop in line. Before your turn, make sure your pen is out and the autograph book is open to the page that you want the character to sign. Give your PhotoPass card to the photographer if one is present and enjoy your visit. The photographer will take pictures while the child is getting the autograph as well as when the character is ready to pose for the picture.
Times & Locations
Characters appearances at Disneyland are not always predictable. You might see them roaming around or interacting with guests in a more “free” way than the standard meet & greet line. Check the Disneyland app for any scheduled meet & greet opportunities but also be ready for surprise sightings!
