Opening of Pixar Place Hotel: Get a Sneak Peek!

A modern hotel room featuring two beds, colorful decor, and Pixar-themed artwork. A sign announces the hotel opens on January 30, 2024.

Disneyland Resort's Paradise Pier Hotel has been bringing the whimsical world of Pixar to life in recent months. And now the property is all set to undergo a complete transformation and will be rebranded as the Pixar Place Hotel on January 30, 2024. It will be the very first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States. Want a sneak peek of what's in store? Check out the latest rooms inspired by Pixar stories, tantalizing menu items that await you at Great Maple, and get an idea of what you can enjoy right now during your stay!

The Pixar Place Hotel promises to capture the essence of every Pixar film, with its decor and design showcasing the inspiration and humor that goes into the artistic process. Guests can look forward to admiring an exquisite collection of early sketches and finished artwork that highlight vibrant Pixar stories, including some never-before-seen creations.

The lobby of the hotel will be a visual treat for visitors, featuring unique art that's inspired by the magical world of Pixar films. As guests walk in, they'll be greeted by the iconic Pixar Lamp, perched on top of its ball and a delightful mobile of beloved Pixar characters floating from the bright skylight above. The mobile will depict the earliest stages of Pixar filmmaking when animators create the characters' designs using just basic shapes and colors. These characters are at the beginning of their journey, just like the guests who step into the lobby, who are about to embark on their very own story at the Disneyland Resort!

Get ready to be amazed by the colorful and vibrant decor at Pixar Place Hotel that is sure to delight every Pixar fan out there! There are whimsical nods to the animation studio throughout the contemporary and comfortable accommodations - from pillows inspired by the Pixar Ball to lighting that will remind you of the Pixar Lamp.

What's more, some of the art pieces adorning the walls of these rooms have been exclusively created by Pixar Animation Studios artists for the Pixar Place Hotel! The headboards are a real treat for the eyes, showcasing concept art from a range of Pixar features, including "The Incredibles," "Toy Story 3," and more. The headboards are arranged in order from warm to cool colors, highlighting the importance of color to set the tone of a scene. Get ready for a truly immersive Pixar experience!

Let's talk about food! Great Maple restaurant, opening in November, is set to offer an innovative menu of upscale comfort food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This modern American eatery will serve a range of dishes made from scratch every day - think Cajun Shrimp & Cheddar Biscuit Benedict, Soda Pop-Braised Baby Back Ribs, Charred Cauliflower Hummus, Maple Pecan-Crusted Salmon, Market Fish, a variety of inspired salads, and my personal favorite, Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Maple Bacon Doughnuts!

That's not all - a few weeks after the flagship restaurant opens on the ground floor, Great Maple will open more culinary delights. The Sketch Pad Café, a new grab-and-go coffee shop in the lobby, will serve assorted pastries accompanied by a selection of coffee and tea. And at the rooftop pool bar, named Small Bytes, an all-new menu will debut, featuring salads, wraps, assorted cheese plates, and more that can be enjoyed with signature beverages.

If you're ready to dive into the fun right now, head to the newly opened Finding Nemo-themed rooftop pool area and splash pad at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. The Pixel Pool, surrounded by comfortable loungers, is perfect for relaxing, while Nemo's Cove pop-jet splash pad and Crush's Surfin' Slide, a 186-foot-long waterslide inspired by the coolest sea turtle in the ocean, are great for younger guests. The adjacent play court and pool bar will open later this fall, so stay tuned for more!

Near the pool, you can gather with friends on comfy couches surrounding firepits inspired by some of Pixar's more hotheaded characters, including Jack-Jack from "The Incredibles" and Anger from "Inside Out."

Back in the lobby, check out the new gift shop STOR-E - a playful take on the Pixar film name "WALL-E" - featuring Pixar-themed apparel and toys, along with more Disneyland Resort souvenirs and sundries.

Plus, a new and expanded fitness center has recently opened, offering treadmills, free weights, and more, all complimentary for hotel guests. Keep an eye out for a mural of Mike and Sulley running on a treadmill, inspired by "Monsters University."

Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is open and welcoming guests during this transformation, offering the added benefits of staying on property at the Disneyland Resort, including a dedicated entrance across the street with direct access to Disney California Adventure Park.*

There's much more to come, so make sure you don't miss a thing!

*Both Theme Park admission and park reservation for Disney California Adventure Park are required for park entry at this special entrance for Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel guests, and a hotel reservation does not guarantee theme park access.
