New “Monsters, Inc.” Land Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Get ready to ROAR with laughter, Disney fans! A brand-new land themed around Pixar Animation Studios' “Monsters, Inc.” is set to come to life at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World Resort. The exciting news was unveiled during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and it’s safe to say we’re thrilled!
Welcome to the World of Monsters, Inc.
Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro, alongside Disney Legend Billy Crystal, took to the stage to reveal the magical plans for this new land. Imagine strolling through the streets of Monstropolis, where you’ll bump into some of your favorite monsters from the beloved film. But don’t worry—these monsters are friendly, and they’re all about spreading joy and laughter!
Picking up right where the movie left off, humans are now invited to visit the world of “Monsters, Inc.” The monsters need your laughter to power the city, and they’re counting on you to help keep Monstropolis running smoothly. And what would a visit to this monster-filled world be without a trip to the factory itself?
Zoom Through the Factory on a Suspended Coaster
For all of us who’ve dreamed of riding through the door vault like Mike Wazowski and Sulley, that dream is about to become a reality. You’ll get to zoom through the factory on the first suspended coaster ever built in a Disney park! Just like in the movie, those iconic claws will grab the doors and hoist them high into the air—and you’ll be right there in the middle of all the monster action.
As Josh D’Amaro shared during the reveal, “The first time I saw Monsters, Inc., all I wanted to do was ride on one of those doors like Mike and Sulley. You’ll go into the factory and experience the first suspended coaster ever in a Disney park. We’re doing that, too. And you’re going along for the ride.”
Get Ready to Laugh!
With work on this exciting new project slated to begin next year, it won’t be long before you can step into the world of “Monsters, Inc.” and experience the magic firsthand. Just remember, Roz is always watching—so be sure to fill out your paperwork!
Stay tuned for more updates as this not-at-all-scary adventure continues to take shape. Get ready to laugh, scream, and make unforgettable memories with your favorite monsters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
