Experience Moana’s Journey of Water at Walt Disney World
Get ready to answer the call of adventure!
On October 16th, Walt Disney World Resort will debut "Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana". As you walk through this serene trail in EPCOT, you'll have the opportunity to interact with water in magical ways, just like Moana did in the popular Walt Disney Animation Studios film. From a simple wave "hello" to a high five, and even a crashing wave of fun, you'll be greeted with engaging opportunities to interact with this important and playful resource around every turn. This self-guided, walk-through attraction invites guests to explore lush, landscaped trails inspired by the film, which is the first Disney Parks experience to dive into this tropical world. Keep your eyes peeled on your journey for beloved characters sculpted in the rock formations, such as Hei Hei, Pua, and of course, Moana.

The water here has an enjoyable and lively character, and visitors are encouraged to join in the fun. Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is designed keeping families in mind, and it is a self-paced activity that offers pathways for everyone, including the elderly and the differently-abled. You can opt for either the dry or wet path to test your limits and interact with water as much as you want.

As you walk along the trail, you will get a comprehensive understanding of the water cycle and the significance of being a protector of this remarkable natural resource, akin to Moana. Water is a vital element of our world, from rainfall to oceans and lakes, and guests will witness its diverse forms throughout the trail. You'll find yourself laughing as water touches your hands or as you admire the beautiful topiary of Te Fiti, surrounded by breathtaking views of Spaceship Earth.

Starting October 16th, visitors will get to meet Moana in person! She will be waiting to welcome fellow travelers in a new location opposite the attraction.

The latest additions to the World Nature are the foundation of the EPCOT Transformation project that aims to create an environment that promotes exploration and fosters a connection with nature while simultaneously celebrating diversity worldwide. Visitors will soon find themselves surrounded by lush green spaces in the World Celebration gardens, which will offer a perfect spot to relax and bond with friends and family. Additionally, Dreamers Point provides an excellent opportunity to draw inspiration from the new Walt Disney statue called "Walt the Dreamer."
The opening of the Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana attraction on Oct. 16 is perfectly timed to coincide with The Walt Disney Company's 100th anniversary. As part of the global Disney100 celebration that honors Disney fans and the storytellers who have contributed to the Disney legacy over the last century, Walt Disney World will provide visitors with special offerings across EPCOT from Sept. 22 through Dec. 31, 2023.
