Exciting Updates and New Experiences Await at EPCOT
Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro shared some exciting updates and announcements about new experiences coming to EPCOT at Destination D23 this weekend. These include a Figment character meet and greet, a reimagined Test Track, a new nighttime spectacular, and more. To help you stay updated, here are five things that you should know about what’s coming to EPCOT.
Disney's EPCOT is all set to unveil its newest nighttime extravaganza "Luminous The Symphony of Us" on December 5, 2023. The show promises to keep up with Disney's legacy of spectacular nighttime entertainment at the park, featuring a dazzling display of fireworks, fountains, lasers, lighting effects, and music.
Starting September 10, visitors at EPCOT can now meet and greet the beloved character Figment, who has been a fan-favorite for many years. The iconic purple dragon will be stationed at the Imagination Pavilion, where he will inspire creativity and encourage the visitors to let their imagination take flight.
Starting this December, the World Celebration neighborhood at EPCOT will be open for Guests! This new neighborhood will connect the front of the park with the other two recently built areas, World Discovery and World Nature, thus creating a cohesive and unified park experience. The launch of the World Celebration marks a major milestone in EPCOT's ongoing renovation project.
Chevrolet and Imagineers, in collaboration with corporate alliance partners, are taking inspiration from the original World of Motion to reinvigorate EPCOT's popular Test Track attraction. The upcoming version of the ride is set to embody the same spirit of hope and optimism from the past, with more details to be revealed in the future.
On October 16, 2023, visitors can experience the latest addition to EPCOT's World Nature, the Journey of Water. It's a unique walk-through experience that highlights the importance of preserving the natural world's beauty and balance. Additionally, on the same day, Moana will make her first appearance in her own dedicated space, located near the Journey of Water.
