As Disneyland Resort marks its 70th anniversary, visitors can enjoy new delights designed to spark joy, wonder, and a touch of nostalgia throughout the park.

Step Into History: A New Guided Tour Experience

The magic begins with A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour. This two-hour experience walks guests through the park’s vibrant past, from its earliest attractions to modern marvels. Along the way, stories of Walt Disney’s enduring vision come to life. Bookings open April 24, 2025, with separate fees and restrictions applying.

Unlock Surprises with MagicBand+

MagicBand+ adds an extra sprinkle of enchantment. Guests can explore themed areas—Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and Frontierland—where MagicBand+ triggers special effects tied to classic attractions.

MagicBand+ also interacts with anniversary entertainment like “Paint the Night,” “Tapestry of Happiness,” “World of Color Happiness!” and “Wondrous Journeys,” syncing up with dazzling lights and subtle vibrations for a more immersive experience. Commemorative MagicBand+ designs are available for purchase.

Capture the Magic with New PhotoPass Moments

During the celebration, Disney PhotoPass introduces new Magic Shots, Lenses, and enhancements to make photos sparkle with pixie dust. Look out for the Mickey and Minnie Magic Shot starting May 16 near Sleeping Beauty Castle and the Disneyland entrance.

Guests who purchase Disney PhotoPass+ One Day can enjoy unlimited digital photo downloads. Those with Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Premier Pass also gain access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses and unlimited downloads.

Vote for the Emotion of the Night

Ahead of each evening’s “World of Color Happiness!” in California Adventure, guests can vote via the Disneyland app to spotlight one of four Emotions—Sadness, Anger, Disgust, or Envy—in special show scenes. Just make sure to enable push notifications and location services to join in.
