Epic New ‘Disney Hercules’ Stage Show Sets Sail on Disney Destiny
A Heroic Debut: Disney Hercules Takes the Stage
Disney Cruise Line is making waves again—this time with a dazzling new stage show aboard its upcoming ship, Disney Destiny. Inspired by the fan-favorite film, the all-new Disney Hercules show brings myth, music, and magic to life in spectacular fashion.
Classic Story, Modern Twist
While the heart of the story stays true to the beloved original, this version of Hercules gets a modern retelling, bursting with high-energy performances and a contemporary vibe. The legendary soundtrack shines with new arrangements, blending gospel-inspired soul with the buzz of a pop concert.
Expect show-stopping renditions of favorites like “Go the Distance,” “Zero to Hero,” and “I Won’t Say I’m in Love,” all performed live in thrilling new styles. The show also debuts “Shooting Star,” a ballad by Alan Menken and David Zippel, originally written for the film but never before heard on stage.
Mythical Magic Onboard
The cast features all the iconic gods, mortals, and mythical creatures from the movie, some with surprising new twists. At the center of it all are the Muses—serving as narrators with soaring vocals and fabulous flair.
The show’s costume design is a visual treat, with Mount Olympus’s divine extravagance standing in stark contrast to the grounded styles of Earth’s humble inhabitants.
Larger-Than-Life Puppetry
Puppet wizard Michael Curry brings jaw-dropping creatures to life, continuing his acclaimed work from Disney The Tale of Moana. Expect epic encounters, including a towering multi-headed Hydra, as Hercules tackles mighty challenges on his path to heroism.
Only on Disney Destiny
Exclusive to the Disney Destiny, Disney Hercules joins the ship’s heroic entertainment lineup alongside Frozen, A Musical Spectacular and Disney Seas the Adventure. It’s a theatrical voyage packed with heart, humor, and heroic flair.
