Oogie Boogie Bash 2026: Tricks, Treats and After-Hours Frights

Oogie Boogie is back in town, and Disney California Adventure Park is preparing for a delightfully devious after-hours takeover.

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party returns on select nights from August 18 through October 31, 2026. The separately ticketed event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with tickets currently available for select dates. Five hours of Halloween mischief? That is a very respectable amount of mayhem.

A Head Start on the Halloween Haunt

An Oogie Boogie Bash ticket gets guests into Disney California Adventure as early as 3:00 p.m., leaving three hours to enjoy regular park-day offerings before the party officially begins.

Each ticket also includes a commemorative event guide, handy for navigating the night and worth saving once the pumpkins have gone home. Unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken during the party are included, too. Scan the QR code on the event wristband in the Disneyland app to find the photo gallery, then download photos through a MyDisney account as often as desired for up to 45 days after they are first captured.

Tickets are limited for each event date. Only select attractions, experiences, offerings and services are available during the event, and Lightning Lane access is not available.

Costumes, Candy and a Few Familiar Fiends

Costumes are part of the fun at Oogie Boogie Bash, so guests of all ages can arrive in a clever disguise or embrace a more villainous alter ego. Costumes must follow Disney’s special event costume guidelines. A sweater for cooler breezes and comfortable shoes are smart additions to any spellbinding ensemble.

Treat trails throughout Disney California Adventure come stocked with goodies, and every guest receives a treat bag upon arrival. Villains and legendary misfits lurk along the route, including Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove. Cast members at every trail can also offer allergy-friendly and no-sugar-added alternatives.

Elsewhere around the park, Disney characters appear in Halloween attire, while special greeting locations bring out a few friends who do not make regular appearances. Keep the camera ready; some of these encounters are more elusive than a missing spell book.

Madame Leota Throws a Street Party

“Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party” returns with spooky music, lively dancing and the happy haunts guests have come to know over the years. This wicked gathering is exclusive to Oogie Boogie Bash, so the spirits only swing after dark.

For an additional fee, the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party adds reserved seating for the street party, treats, beverages and more. The menu includes triple chocolate cheesecake and a Dubai chocolate-inspired filled bundt cake with pistachio crunch. Advanced reservations are highly recommended.

Enter the Villains Grove, If You Dare

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail transforms into Villains Grove, a surreal walkthrough filled with scenescapes inspired by Disney’s most memorable baddies. Mystical lights, sights and sounds draw guests into the auras of Dr. Facilier, Frollo, Scar and others. It is less of a trail and more of a beautifully sinister detour.

Party guests can also take advantage of shorter waits at select attractions, including Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark!, Toy Story Midway Mania!, Incredicoaster and more.

Halloween Bites Worth a Detour

Those arriving during the 3:00 p.m. pre-party mix-in can sample seasonal food and drinks sold during regular park hours, including the Oktoberfest Dog at Award Wieners and the Pumpkin Pie Mickey Shake from Schmoozies!

During Oogie Boogie Bash, Cozy Cone 4 – Frozen Cone-Coctions serves the Haunted Highway Cocktail: tequila, pineapple lemonade with blue Curaçao, apple liqueur and Sprite, topped with grenadine and gummy worms. It has all the makings of a road trip through the strange side of Radiator Springs.

The new Headless Horseman Bucket is currently available only during Oogie Boogie Bash, while supplies last. Find it at Hollywood Lounge; Popcorn at Grizzly Peak Airfield; Popcorn at Pixar Pier; Popcorn near Carthay Circle Restaurant; select outdoor vending locations; and Smokejumpers Grill.

Park offerings, attractions, entertainment, experiences and services may be modified, limited in availability, unavailable, changed or cancelled without notice. Disney PhotoPass service is subject to its terms and conditions, and message, data and roaming rates may apply when using the Disneyland app.
