Bay Lake is getting a new place to nest. Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge opens at Walt Disney World Resort on July 1, 2027, and the first room reveals have arrived ahead of reservations opening in early October.

The resort will have 967 rooms, ranging from compact stays for two to sprawling villas and brand-new waterfront Lake Houses. Across the lineup, Disney artists and storytellers have taken a walk on the wild side, pairing natural materials and earthy palettes with original artwork inspired by classic Disney films set outdoors.

A Room Key to the Great Outdoors

Every accommodation category draws from a different corner of Disney Animation’s wilderness. Duo studios, made for two, take their colorful cue from Encanto. Deluxe studios sleep up to four and bring in the woodland world of Bambi, including warm natural materials, comfortable living spaces and original concept art from the Walt Disney Archives.

One- and two-bedroom villas continue the Bambi story with soft earth tones, forest-inspired details and artwork reflecting the film’s natural landscapes. The one-bedroom villas sleep up to five, while two-bedroom villas sleep up to nine; both include full kitchens, washers and dryers, private patios, plus roomy living and dining areas.

Lake Houses Step Into the Spotlight

The headline-making newcomers are the one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses: freestanding waterfront retreats exclusive to Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. Set along Bay Lake, these stays bring dramatic A-frame architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows and water views into the equation. Nature, but make it deluxe.

One-bedroom Lake Houses sleep up to five guests, and two-bedroom versions sleep up to eight. Each includes a private porch facing the water, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. Inside, the design salutes Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Brother Bear, with references to its Alaskan setting, nature and discovery. The primary bedroom adds a Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature for a gentle glow after dark.

From Bambi Woods to Fantasia Grandeur

For bigger gatherings, the three-bedroom grand villas sleep up to 12 guests and turn to Disney Animation’s Fantasia for artistic inspiration. Multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen, a private patio with Bay Lake views and generous gathering areas make these villas particularly suited to multigenerational travel and celebration trips.

Resort studios add another lodging option, with rooms sleeping up to four guests and resort studio king rooms sleeping up to two. Their look takes inspiration from Disney Animation’s Pocahontas, using earthy hues and archival artistic details that echo the film’s wide-open landscapes.

A Treestop Lounge and a Presidential Perch

Select club level resort rooms come with access to The Artist’s Nest, a concierge lounge perched above the treetops. Along with personalized service and complimentary refreshments, the lounge has exclusive views of Magic Kingdom fireworks.

At the top of the lodging list, the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite sleeps up to six guests. The suite includes two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen and a washer and dryer, plus access to The Artist’s Nest. Bay Lake takes center stage by day, while Magic Kingdom Park fireworks take over the view at night.
