Last year, during the Grand Reveal of the Disney Treasure, they announced the introduction of Jumbeaux's Sweets, a whimsical dessert destination that will debut onboard the ship later this year. But how do these ideas come to life? It's all in the details! The Imagineers at Disney are working closely with Disney Animation to transform cherished Disney stories into real-life experiences at sea on the Disney Treasure. One such example is Jumbeaux's Sweets, which is inspired by "Zootopia," an Academy Award®-winning movie by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Each element of Jumbeaux's Sweets' decor, from the vintage-style light fixtures to the bubblegum pink-striped wallpaper, was carefully selected by Imagineers to immerse future Disney Cruise Line guests in the vibrant world of Zootopia. The venue's crowning feature will be a striking statue of the movie's unlikely crime-solving duo, Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.

The process of building the statue began with sketches and a collaboration between Imagineers and the Walt Disney Animation team to create a unique digital model of the piece. The statue was then cast in bronze using the precise measurements from the digital model and transported to Florida to be painted. Jay Abruzzese is seen putting the finishing touches on both characters, and it won't be long before the statue is installed inside Jumbeaux's Sweets, completing the Imagineers' vision for the venue.
