A Magical Tribute: “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” Premieres at Disneyland
Beginning July 17, 2025, a new theatrical experience titled “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” will debut at Disneyland Resort’s Main Street Opera House, marking a highlight of the park’s 70th anniversary celebrations. This heartfelt attraction brings to life the incredible journey of Walt Disney, told in his own voice through a captivating blend of film and Audio-Animatronics.
Step Into the Story of Walt Disney
The Opera House lobby sets the stage with immersive exhibits that trace Disneyland’s evolution, from early concept sketches to cutting-edge Audio-Animatronics. Guests can also view a collection of Walt Disney’s personal accolades and a touching video presentation, Memories of Walt, featuring interviews with friends, collaborators, and colleagues.
A Show Unlike Any Other
Inside the theater, the experience begins with a cinematic retelling of One Man’s Dream, narrated by Walt Disney himself. This film chronicles his humble beginnings, career milestones, and the dreams that built a legacy.
The grand finale is truly a Disney first: the unveiling of the first-ever Audio-Animatronic figure of Walt Disney. Set in a meticulously recreated version of his studio office, this lifelike figure shares stories and wisdom, with dialogue seamlessly crafted from decades of archived recordings.

Creating a true-to-life representation of Walt Disney was a task Imagineers approached with great care and reverence. Drawing inspiration from the original Abraham Lincoln figure, the team pushed artistic and technological boundaries — capturing every nuance, from his expressive hands to the signature sparkle in his eyes.
