Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater are hitting the road and making their way to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. That’s right! The beloved characters from Pixar's "Cars" are set to take over a reimagined section of Frontierland, and we couldn’t be more excited!
During the recent Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro, with a special appearance from Tow Mater via video call, unveiled plans for a brand-new area inspired by the iconic film. Josh shared an inspiring message, saying, “The American West has always been about keeping your eyes on the horizon … believing in yourself, carving your own path, and striving toward success.” This sentiment captures the spirit of adventure that awaits in this new attraction.
So, what can you expect? Get ready to leave Radiator Springs behind and embark on a thrilling journey through the wild west! Guests will be treated to not one but TWO exciting new “Cars”-themed attractions that promise fun for everyone.
First up, gear up for a heart-pounding rally race through the mountains! Imagine racing across diverse terrains, climbing steep mountain trails, dodging geysers, and splashing through mudholes—just like Mater would love! This attraction is sure to provide an adrenaline rush and plenty of laughs.
