Exciting New Restaurants and Shops Coming to Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort

Exciting changes are on the horizon for the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort! From delicious new dining options to themed shopping experiences, the district continues to evolve, offering visitors even more reasons to explore.
Avengers Reserve: A New Destination for Marvel Fans
This winter, a new store dedicated to the Marvel Universe will open its doors in Downtown Disney. Avengers Reserve will celebrate the world of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, offering a wide range of collectibles, apparel, accessories, toys, and comics. Featuring curated selections inspired by fan-favorite characters and stories, this shop will be a must-visit for Marvel fans of all ages.
D-Lander Shop to Offer Trendy Fashion
Also debuting this winter, the D-Lander Shop will introduce a fresh, stylish shopping experience with a distinctly Southern California flair. This boutique will showcase a trendy collection of apparel, accessories, and jewelry designed for Disneyland enthusiasts, combining fashion-forward styles with Disney magic.
Marceline’s Confectionery Becomes Disney Wonderful World of Sweets
The beloved Marceline’s Confectionery is undergoing a transformation into the Disney Wonderful World of Sweets. Opening this winter, this expanded candy shop will feature a delightful selection of sweets and treats, including churro toffee, caramel apples, sour balls, lollipops, and freshly made Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn. Guests will enjoy watching these treats being made from an exhibition kitchen visible from the promenade. Until then, visitors can still enjoy delicious goodies from the Marceline’s Confectionery cart.
Kawaii Slime Cart Arriving This Fall
This fall, the cutest slime ever—Kawaii Slime—is coming to Downtown Disney. "Kawaii," meaning cute in Japanese, perfectly describes the playful and colorful slimes this mom-owned business offers. With a variety of textures, colors, scents, and glittery add-ins, these slime concoctions are perfect for kids and adults alike.
New Restaurants by Michelin-Starred Chef Joe Isidori
Downtown Disney will soon welcome two new restaurants from Michelin-starred Chef Joe Isidori.
The new steakhouse will offer a sophisticated dining experience with a menu featuring prime cuts of beef, fresh seafood, sandwiches, and chopped salads. A highlight for bourbon lovers and cocktail enthusiasts will be the inventive selection of expertly crafted beverages.
Next door, the barbecue restaurant will offer a quick-service dining option with traditional BBQ favorites like pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked wings, all enhanced with unique spices and house-made sauces. The outdoor bar will offer a wide selection of craft beers and creative moonshine cocktails.
Both restaurants will be located where Tortilla Jo’s once stood. Stay tuned for more details on these exciting new dining destinations!
Earl of Sandwich Unveils New Concept: The Carnaby Tavern
Earl of Sandwich is introducing a new dining concept in Downtown Disney: The Carnaby Tavern. Inspired by the swinging ‘60s British pop and rock scene, this new full-service restaurant will feature an indoor/outdoor bar and a vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of the era’s famous bands.
The current Earl of Sandwich location will close in 2025 to make way for the new Porto's Bakery. In the meantime, guests can enjoy their favorite sandwiches, wraps, salads, and sweets at the existing east side location or the pop-up pod near Star Wars Trading Post.
Plenty to See and Do at Downtown Disney
While these exciting new experiences are being prepared, there is still so much for guests to enjoy in the Downtown Disney District. With each visit, guests can discover something new and exciting, making every trip a unique experience.
Whether you're a fan of Disney, Marvel, or delicious food, Downtown Disney is gearing up to offer even more fun and adventure for everyone. Plan your visit today to be part of this dynamic district's ongoing evolution!
