Disneyland Resort is set to mark seven decades of magic and memories with a special 70th-anniversary celebration beginning May 16, 2025, and continuing through summer 2026. This unforgettable event will feature new entertainment, dazzling décor, must-have merchandise, and beloved returning experiences.

Exciting New Entertainment and Returning Favorites

The 70th-anniversary celebration will showcase incredible new shows alongside cherished classics, all set to an upbeat new theme song titled "Celebrate Happy." Here's what to expect:

“World of Color Happiness!” at Disney California Adventure Park

Inspired by Walt Disney’s famous words, “To all who come to this happy place … welcome!” this vibrant nighttime show explores happiness through a kaleidoscope of emotions.

Hosted by Joy and her friends from Pixar’s Inside Out films, this dynamic show features scenes from Turning Red, The Incredibles, Encanto, A Goofy Movie, and more. The stunning display will include colorful fountains, lasers, flame effects, and vibrant projections.

Guests can sing and dance along to beloved Disney songs, with special performances by Boyz II Men covering Rainbow Connection and FITZ of Fitz and the Tantrums debuting the original song "Makes Me Wanna Move."

Before the show, Joe the Legal Weasel and over a dozen Muppets will share a joyful message through lively projections and expressive fountains.

The Return of “Paint the Night” Parade

The fan-favorite Paint the Night parade will once again illuminate Main Street, U.S.A., featuring dazzling floats, vibrant costumes, and more than one million LED lights.

This spectacular parade highlights Disney and Pixar classics like Frozen, Monsters, Inc., Toy Story, and The Little Mermaid. Anna and Elsa will join the parade once more on their beloved Frozen float.

“Wondrous Journeys” Nighttime Spectacular

This magical show celebrating Walt Disney Animation Studios will return to Disneyland Park. Featuring scenes from classics like Peter Pan, The Princess and the Frog, and Moana, the show uses breathtaking projections to transform Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, and the Rivers of America. Fireworks will enhance the experience on select nights.

“Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” Parade

Returning to Disney California Adventure Park, this joyful daytime parade will celebrate friendship with characters from Luca, Turning Red, Up, and more. Guests can enjoy vibrant floats, energetic performances, and beloved Pixar pals.

“Tapestry of Happiness” at Disneyland Park

Inspired by Disney legend Mary Blair, Tapestry of Happiness will transform the façade of it’s a small world into a breathtaking animated mosaic of Disneyland memories. Accompanied by the theme song "Celebrate Happy", this show will celebrate iconic moments from Disneyland’s history.

“The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade” at Disneyland Park

A new, energetic character cavalcade will feature favorites like Goofy, Max, Duffy, and ShellieMay, encouraging guests to clap and dance along as it travels down the parade route.

Special 70th Anniversary Décor

The celebration will bring vibrant displays and themed decorations throughout Disneyland Resort.

• A stunning 50-foot sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle will greet guests in the esplanade.
• Floral Mickey will bloom with bright flowers to welcome visitors at Disneyland Park.

Magical Updates to Classic Attractions

New touches are coming to popular attractions in honor of the 70th anniversary:

• In it’s a small world, Miguel and Dante from Pixar’s Coco will join the children of the world in song, set against a beautiful marigold bridge backdrop.
• On Toy Story Midway Mania!, guests can spot nods to the 70th anniversary as they compete for the highest score.
