Voyager of the Seas is packing a very full passport for 2028. Royal Caribbean is sending the fan-favorite ship across Asia Pacific with a new season of 2- to 15-night cruises from October 2027 through April 2028, sailing from Brisbane, Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong.
The itinerary map stretches across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, China, Japan and South Korea, mixing quick escapes with longer adventures timed around Christmas holidays and Chinese New Year celebrations. In other words, this is less of a one-port season and more of a full regional road trip—just with a much better pool deck.
Voyager Is Making the Rounds
The season begins in Australia, with Voyager of the Seas sailing from Brisbane and Sydney before heading north to Singapore and later homeporting in Hong Kong.
From October through December 2027, Brisbane sailings range from two to seven nights. South Pacific itineraries visit Mystery Island, Port Vila and Luganville in Vanuatu, plus Noumea, New Caledonia. Afterward, Voyager makes a 2-night coastal repositioning cruise to Sydney.
Sydney gets one of the season’s headline itineraries: a brand-new 10-night Christmas cruise to New Zealand, visiting Picton, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and Milford Sound. That is quite a holiday card lineup.
Singapore to Hong Kong, With Vietnam in the Middle
Once Voyager reaches Southeast Asia, travelers can hop aboard a 5-night sailing from Singapore to Hong Kong with a stop in Ho Chi Minh City (Phuoc An), Vietnam.
The itinerary connects two of Asia’s biggest urban destinations while carving out time for Vietnam in between, including a chance to explore its dining scene before the ship continues to Hong Kong.
Chinese New Year Comes With Island Time
From Hong Kong, 4- and 5-night Chinese New Year cruises head for Ishigaki and Okinawa, Japan. Select sailings include an overnight stay in Okinawa, giving travelers extra time ashore for turquoise water, local flavors and Ryukyu culture.
Other Hong Kong itineraries reach farther into China and Southeast Asia, including Taipei (Keelung), Taiwan and Hue/Danang (Chan May), Vietnam. Taipei brings night markets and a famously energetic food scene, while Chan May serves as a gateway to central Vietnam’s imperial history, coastline and regional cuisine.
The Asia Pacific Lineup Is Getting Crowded—in a Good Way
Voyager is only one piece of Royal Caribbean’s biggest Asia Pacific season yet. Navigator of the Seas begins sailing year-round from Singapore in October 2026, while the newly amplified Ovation of the Seas sails from Brisbane and Anthem of the Seas sails from Sydney.
Spectrum of the Seas will also sail from Shanghai and Hong Kong to destinations across Japan, South Korea and Vietnam. Altogether, Royal Caribbean is giving travelers a much wider menu of short breaks, holiday sailings and longer regional itineraries across Asia Pacific.
Sea Days Still Have Plenty to Do
Voyager is not exactly asking anyone to sit quietly between ports. Thrill-seekers can hit the FlowRider surf simulator, race down The Perfect Storm waterslides, tackle the rock-climbing wall or go ice-skating at Studio B.
Families and friends can squeeze in a round at Voyager Dunes, the ship’s nine-hole mini-golf course, or battle it out in Laser Tag: Battle for Planet Z. Younger cruisers get their own lineup at Adventure Ocean, while teens have a dedicated hangout in the Living Room.
Then there is the very important matter of dinner. Options include family-style Italian dishes at Giovanni’s Table, hand-cut steaks at Chops Grille, sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes at Izumi, plus casual favorites at Windjammer and Café Promenade.
