There’s a new toy in Andy’s backyard, and she has apparently claimed the DJ booth.

Beginning Friday, September 25, Alien Swirling Saucers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will debut Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams. The refreshed musical experience welcomes Lilypad, the spirited frog-shaped smart tablet from Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story 5, to Toy Story Land alongside Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear.

A New Toy Takes the Turntables

Lilypad is on a mission to connect friends, and her latest project is a soundtrack built for spinning. Using her internet-powered tech, DJ Lilypad remixes and mashes up music from a range of styles, bringing pop, country, EDM and alt-rock energy to the attraction.

Imagineers recorded the new soundtrack in Nashville with world-class musicians, reworking familiar Toy Story songs into ride-ready tunes. Expect new takes on “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” “We Belong Together” and “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away.”

Fresh Tracks, Extra Cheese

The playlist is not all remixes. Lilypad’s Jams also adds original songs written specifically for the attraction, including “Pizza Planet Promo,” the in-story theme song for the beloved pizza arcade, and “Spin It Back, Lilypad,” a musical nod to the backyard’s newest toy.

Partysaurus Rex is also expected to get some extra playtime in the mix. After all, a dinosaur with a party reputation should never be too far from a dance track.

The Party Continues Off the Ride

Skipping the swirl does not mean missing the show. Lilypad will be DJing for every honorary toy in the backyard, including guests who are simply passing through Toy Story Land.

Between songs, DJ Lily will hype up the crowd, introduce playlist picks and keep the area lively with interactive entertainment. Guests can try to identify the toy she is doodling in her drawing app, help solve scrambled puzzles and watch “home videos” featuring favorite Toy Story characters.

Toy Story 5 arrives on Disney+ September 23, just two days before Lilypad makes her Disney’s Hollywood Studios debut on September 25.
