Music, family and cultural traditions are taking center stage at Walt Disney World Resort this fall. From September 15 through October 15, Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month fills the resort with lively entertainment, beloved characters, special merchandise and family-friendly experiences inspired by vibrant Latin American cultures.
Puerto Rican superstar Luis Fonsi recently joined the celebration, bringing a little extra rhythm to the occasion. During his visit, Fonsi stopped by ¡Celebración Encanto! at EPCOT, met Mirabel and Bruno, and caught the Storytellers and Primos in action. He also took a spin on his favorite attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and met his favorite Disney character, Mickey Mouse. A fairly solid Disney day by any measuring stick.
EPCOT Brings the Beat
EPCOT’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series is adding Latin sounds to the festival soundtrack with a lineup that keeps the World Showcase swaying:
- Latin Ambition: September 15–17
- Grupo Mania: September 20–21
- Metro Latino Band: September 22–24
- Rey Ruiz: October 5–6
- Viva Latina: October 9–11
Between concerts, ¡Celebración Encanto! gives EPCOT visitors another reason to linger. Mirabel, Bruno, the Storytellers and the Primos bring music and dancing inspired by Encanto to the park—because a quiet corner of EPCOT was apparently not on the schedule.
A Cavalcade Full of Familiar Faces
At Magic Kingdom, keep an eye out for the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade. The rolling celebration includes Mirabel from Encanto, Miguel from Coco, Princess Elena of Avalor, José Carioca, Panchito and more Disney friends.
Resort guests can continue the celebration after park hours during select Movies Under the Stars experiences, which include Hispanic and Latin American-inspired storytelling, music, dance and films.
Bring Home a Little Coco
A new Disney and Pixar Coco merchandise collection celebrates family, music and tradition with a Miguel mug, floral tee, alebrije headband and more. It is a cheerful souvenir lineup for anyone whose packing list has room for a little color.
