Rider Switch Service at Disneyland Resort

At Disneyland Resort, little ones who don’t meet the height requirements of an attraction or who prefer not to ride, can remain behind with a parent while the rest of the party proceeds to the attraction. When they return, guests who waited with the child can experience the attraction using the Rider Switch service.

How to use Rider Switch

  1. Gather your entire party and visit the participating attraction (see list below) and speak with a Cast Member near the Genie+ queue.
  2. Guests who are riding will be given a Rider Switch entitlement by the Cast Member. Non-riding members of your party (Party 2) will be asked to wait.
  3. After Party 1 rides, Party 1 takes over supervision of the non-riding children or Guests while Party 2 rides.
  4. Party 2 enters and boards the attraction without having to wait in the regular queue a second time. The Rider Switch entitlement must be validated by a Cast Member at this time.
