The Disney Runner in You

The Disney Runner in You

If you’run-disney-collage-hrre like us, you might find yourself having a hard time staying motivated with those pesky New Year’s Resolutions – like training for a 5K, 10K, half marathon, or even a full marathon. Well, what if that race could include a Disney Destination vacation, crazy costumes, fun prizes and more? If that sounds like your kind of race, you just might want to read on…

Each year, Walt Disney World and Disneyland host numerous events for runners of all levels, with courses that take you across the Resort and Parks. There’s even a 5K on Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay, so you can run off all of those gourmet dinners and desserts you enjoyed aboard your Disney Cruise.

The marathon and half marathon weekends are Disney-themed and include favorites such as Star Wars, Disney Princess, Tinker Bell, Disney Wine & Dine and more! And there are races for all levels, so you don’t have to worry if you’re not ready for 26.2 or even 13.1 miles.

Of course, you’ll receive some fantastic perks like a commemorative finisher medal, tech shirt, personalized bib, virtual goody bag and more, but the best part might just be the costumes and the shoes. Imagine running through Cinderella Castle all dressed up as one of your favorite Disney characters while running in official Disney New Balance shoes. You heard that right! Disney themed shoes. From Mickey to Tink, from Dumbo to Ariel (featured above), participants can purchase these fun little works of footwear art.

So, when you’re ready to throw on your Snow White tutu – and Disney running shoes – and push your resolutions to the limit, let us help you plan a vacation that your whole family can enjoy. We know they will want to be there to cheer you on…and enjoy all the magic Disney has to offer along the way!

Your Disney Christmas Sleigh Ride with Crazy Imagination Travel

holidaysdisneyworldStop number one on our magical Christmas journey is the Candlelight Processional in Walt Disney World. Each year at the American Gardens Theater in Epcot, the biblical truth of the birth of Christ comes to life with the breathtaking sounds of a 50-piece orchestra and beautiful choir, featuring special guest stars performing the narration. Listen to favorites like Steven Curtis Chapman, Neil Patrick Harris, and Meredith Vieira recount the reason for the Christmas season in this touching tradition that is not to be missed.

Next, we journey to the other side of the country to Disneyland as we visit the Festival of Holidays in Disney California Adventure Park. Eat, drink and be merry is the order of the day as you feast through 14 kiosks featuring traditional holiday cuisines like tamales, sweet potato pie, Swedish meatballs and baklava, just to name a few. Then take in some festive Latin-American entertainment at the Disney Viva Navidad Street Party with music, dancing and Disney characters.

And last but not least, let’s sail across the seas for a Very MerryTime Cruise with Disney Cruise Lines. On select sailings, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season with a Deck the Deck Tropical Holiday Party, Mickey’s Tree Lighting Magic Ceremony, Storytime with Mrs. Claus and Santa Claus Meet and Greet. And if you’re lucky enough to be sailing on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, you’ll also experience caroling with kids and crew, cookies on Christmas Eve, special religious services, and more!

These are just a few of the highlights of a Disney Christmas. We can’t forget the special holiday parades and fireworks, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Cinderella’s Castle lit for the season, and the many experiences and decorations across the Disney Resorts.
